Sandra Kaufmann

M.D.

Dr. Sandra Kaufmann began her academic journey in cellular biology, earning a Master’s degree in Tropical Ecology and Plant Physiology from the University of Connecticut. She later transitioned into medicine, receiving her medical degree from the University of Maryland, followed by a residency and fellowship at Johns Hopkins University. She currently serves as the National Transitional Pediatric Anesthesia Medical Director for Envision Healthcare.

In the field of longevity, Dr. Kaufmann is best known as the author and creator of The Kaufmann Protocol—a comprehensive framework that explains the cellular basis of aging and offers a structured approach to slowing the aging process. Her groundbreaking theory was first introduced in The Kaufmann Protocol: Why We Age and How to Stop It, widely regarded as a foundational text by leaders in the longevity space. She has since released a follow-up, The Kaufmann Protocol: Aging Solutions, offering an expanded exploration of cutting-edge longevity science.

Dr. Kaufmann also developed the Kaufmann Rating System, a unique numerical model that evaluates the efficacy of molecular agents based on scientific research. This tool enables individuals to build customized, evidence-based longevity protocols tailored to their specific health goals and lifestyles.

Highly respected in the longevity community, Dr. Kaufmann is known for making science-based anti-aging solutions accessible to everyone. She is a frequent guest on podcasts and continues to educate and inspire a growing audience interested in optimizing health and extending lifespan.
