Minbo Shim, M.D.
Dr. Minbo Shim is a board-certified otorhinolaryngology specialist and the Director of Cheong-Min Clinic in Seoul, Korea. His clinical practice focuses on nasal surgery, hearing loss, tinnitus, and regenerative treatment approaches for inner-ear disorders.
For more than 17 years, Dr. Shim has developed and refined intratympanic regenerative treatment methods using platelet-rich plasma and related biologic materials for selected patients with sensorineural hearing loss and chronic tinnitus. His clinical experience in this area includes more than 500 cases. He is the inventor of patented regenerative hearing technologies, with a focus on targeted inner-ear delivery and practical clinical application.
Dr. Shim graduated from the Catholic University College of Medicine and has served as an affiliated clinical faculty member at the College of Medicine, The Catholic University of Korea. In addition to his clinical work, he has continued to explore the role of regenerative medicine in otology and has presented his work in academic and professional settings.
His areas of interest include intratympanic therapy, regenerative otology, tinnitus, hearing loss, nasal surgery, and autologous tissue rhinoplasty. He is a member of multiple Korean medical societies, including the Korean Society of Otorhinolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, the Korean Society of Otology, the Korean Rhinologic Society, the Korean Society for Stem Cell Research, and the Korean Society for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine.
