Ernst von Schwarz

MD

Dr. Ernst von Schwarz is a triple board-certified cardiologist and clinical professor at UCLA and UC Riverside, widely regarded as a pioneer in regenerative medicine. With over 30 years of experience, he was among the first in the world to demonstrate, via a 1996 animal study, that transplanted embryonic stem cells could successfully survive in damaged heart tissue and improve organ function. Today, he bridges the gap between high-level academic research and clinical practice, serving as the Director of Cardiology at the Southern California Hospital at Culver City and leading the Pacific Heart Medical Group. His work focuses on shifting the medical paradigm from “reactive” symptom management to “regenerative” repair, utilizing stem cell therapies to treat everything from end-stage heart failure and vascular diseases to neurodegenerative conditions.

Beyond his technical surgical expertise, Dr. von Schwarz has become a prominent public voice on the future of human longevity and anti-aging. He is the author of several books, including The Secret World of Stem Cell Therapy, where he explores the potential for stem cells to extend the human health span to 120 or even 150 years. While he is a favorite among “A-list” celebrities for his regenerative anti-aging treatments—which aim to rejuvenate skin, hair, and overall vitality—he remains a vocal advocate for medical ethics and transparency. He frequently warns the public against “stem cell scams” and emphasizes that regenerative treatments must be paired with lifestyle changes, such as a Mediterranean diet and regular exercise, to be truly effective.
