Dr. John P. Kripsak is a highly respected, board-certified physician specializing in Family Practice and Sports Medicine, with more than three decades of clinical experience in New Jersey. A recognized authority in sports medicine and regenerative therapies, Dr. Kripsak is known for his deep commitment to youth athletics, injury prevention, and non-operative musculoskeletal care.

Dr. Kripsak earned his B.S. from St. Joseph’s University and his medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed both his internship and residency in Family Practice at Sun Coast Hospital in Florida, becoming board certified in Family Practice in 1990 and Sports Medicine in 1995, with multiple recertifications since.

Since 1990, Dr. Kripsak has served the community as a physician at Bridgewater Medical Group in Bridgewater, NJ. He has held numerous high-profile roles, including:

  • Director of Sports Medicine Services at Somerset Medical Center (2004–2015)
  • Team Physician for Bridgewater-Raritan High School (1992–2019), Sky Blue FC Women’s Pro Soccer (2010–2013), and the Somerset Patriots (Yankees AA affiliate) since 2021
  • Chief Medical Inspector for multiple NJ school districts
  • Member and Chairman of the NJSIAA Medical Advisory Board (2005–2021)

He is a clinical faculty member at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Hospital, training future physicians in sports and osteopathic medicine. He’s also contributed to public health through his work with the Living Heart Foundation, providing cardiovascular screenings to retired NFL athletes.

A skilled practitioner in musculoskeletal ultrasound and regenerative medicine, Dr. Kripsak performs advanced procedures such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP), prolotherapy, bone marrow aspirate concentrate, and adipose-derived cell therapy.

His contributions have earned him numerous accolades, including:

  • NJSIAA Dr. Tim Hosea Team Physician of the Year (2019)
  • Skyland Athletic Conference Service Award (2007)
  • Leonard & Adele Blumberg Award (2001)
  • Inductee, Bridgewater-Raritan High School Athletic Hall of Fame (2022)

Beyond clinical care, Dr. Kripsak has contributed to sports medicine education through published columns, national lectures, and leadership in high school athletics safety and policy—including concussion, hydration, steroid testing, and opioid education initiatives.
