Our Growing Community: A Look Back at the Winter Edition in Fort Lauderdale

Our Growing Community: The Winter Edition That Reminded Us Why We Do This

Fort Lauderdale in February isn’t just about escaping the cold. It’s about igniting something warmer: the kind of collaboration that only happens when the right people are in the same room, asking the hard questions.

This year’s Winter Edition of The Stem Cell Conference wasn’t just another event on the calendar. As the first conference officially run by The MARK Society, it carried forward Dr. Mark Berman’s legacy in the most authentic way possible: by creating space for honest debate, hands-on learning, and the kind of late-night conversations that actually change how we practice medicine.

Over three days, physicians from around the world gathered—not to hear what they already know, but to challenge it.

Day 1: We Started with Our Hands, Not Our Slides

Forget the typical conference opening. We jumped straight into the Stranahan Room with one goal: build confidence through repetition.

  • Fat Extraction Blitz: Led by Jim Brady, MD. No fluff, just technique.

  • Shockwave Surge: Jack Kripsak, DO, brought the intensity.

  • Ultrasound Huddle: Sunny Kim, MD, and Scott Stanwyck, MD, reminded us that mastery isn’t a destination; even the best operators are still refining their approach.

The “see one, do one” philosophy isn’t just a teaching method here—it’s the backbone of our community. By the time we hit the Welcome Reception in the Tarpon Room, the energy was palpable. First-timers were swapping cases with seasoned practitioners, and friendships that started online were solidified over cocktails. This is where the real work begins.

Day 2: From Microbes to MUSE Cells

Day 2 was a deep dive into the questions that keep us up at night.

  • The Gut-Brain Axis: Dr. Sabine Hazan challenged our assumptions about how the body heals itself from the inside out, rewiring how we think about patient care.

  • MUSE Cells: Joe Purita, MD, walked us through their untapped potential.

  • The “Regenerative Power Couple”: A session exploring how PRP and adipose stem cells work better together than apart.

The Community Difference: Breakthroughs don’t just happen in the conference room.

That night, at Lobster Bar Sea Grille, the real magic unfolded. Over fresh seafood and wine, we talked about the cases that haunt us, the patients who didn’t respond, and the protocols we’re still trying to perfect. That is the difference between a conference and a community.

Day 3: Radical Honesty and the Long Game

We closed out Florida by doing something most medical conferences won’t: admitting what didn’t work.

After diving into the Neuro Regen Rush and exploring the role of the Klotho gene in longevity medicine, we ended with the session that defines The MARK Society: the group panel case review.

No spin. No sales pitch. Just honest practitioners walking through the cases that went sideways, dissecting what went wrong, and crowd-sourcing solutions in real time. This level of transparency is rare in medicine, but it’s essential. We aren’t here to protect our egos; we’re here to get better for the people who trust us with their care.

What This Community Is Really About

The Winter Edition was successful because of the people in the room: physicians who refuse to coast, who show up ready to be challenged, and who understand that the best version of regenerative medicine is still being written.

  • If you were there: Thank you for bringing your experience, your questions, and your honesty.

  • If you weren’t: We missed you.

See you in Vegas this June for our biggest event yet. This is just the beginning.
