Dr. J. Peter Rubin, MD, MBA, FACS is a leading plastic and reconstructive surgeon based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, widely recognized for his expertise in regenerative medicine and advanced surgical techniques. He serves as Chair of the Department of Plastic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh, where he oversees both clinical care and research initiatives, combining surgical innovation with cutting-edge regenerative therapies.

Dr. Rubin earned his MD from Tufts University School of Medicine and completed residencies in general surgery at Boston University/Boston City Hospital and in plastic surgery at Harvard Medical School. He also holds an MBA, reflecting his dedication to integrating strategic leadership with patient-centered medical care. His research focuses on adipose-derived stem cells and their applications in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, including fat grafting and tissue regeneration.
